With the rapid development of economy and society,human's demand for oil has increased dramatically.So people turn their attention to the oil in complex land and deep sea.The complex formation and deepwater drilling on drilling fluid is higher,the drilling fluid will face a series of problems of wellbore stability,drilling fluid lubrication,high temperature resistance,environmental protection,oil base drilling fluid has a huge advantage in these areas,but the conventional oil base drilling fluid has serious pollution on the environment.Palm oil not only has the basic function of oil based drilling fluid base fluid,also has strong biodegradability,low cost,environmentally friendly,but palm oil as the vegetable oil,there is a big gap between the structure components and diesel oil,white oil.Special processing agents must be developed for their characteristics.Palm oil drilling fluid has the high pour point,poor low temperature fluidity,must be controlled to go the low temperature rheological properties.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the palm oil based drilling fluid and its control methods of low temperature rheology.Based on a large number of literature research and experiments.First,the basic components of palm oil were determined,which provided an important reference for the development and optimization of palm oil drilling fluid additives.The modified organic soil JHA was synthesized by ion-exchange reaction.The colloidal rate of the organic soil in palm oil reached 97.6%,which had good viscosity increasing and filtration reducing effect.Filtrate reducer FLG was synthesized by wet method.Its colloidal rate in palm oil reached 92%,which had a good filtration loss effect.The filtration loss mechanism of FLG filtrate reducer was analyzed by SEM image analysis,contact angle measurement and filtrate loss measurement.Based on the HLB value calculation method,an emulsifier combination 5%Span80+3%SDBS suitable for palm oil was selected through experiments.The emulsifier combination can make palm oil based drilling fluid form stable oil in water emulsion.The control method of low temperature rheology of palm oil drilling fluid was studied,and found that the antifreeze,anti crystallization agent and other popular regulators have a good effect on the regulation of palm oil based drilling fluid rheology at low temperature,palm oil drilling fluid can still maintain good fluidity at-5?.On the basis of the above research,we finally form a suitable palm oil drilling fluid formulation suitable for deep water.And experiments show that the performance of this formula can basically meet the needs of on-site drilling.This paper provides an experimental basis for the application of palm oil in the field of drilling fluid.
