A Study On The Female Daily Costume Culture In The Chu Regions Of The Eastern Zhou Dynasty

Clothing is the history of mobility.Since "the Emperor Huang,Emperor Yao and Emperor Shun hang their clothes and govern the world",clothing has no longer only existed as a practical tool.As a natural medium of cultural communication,clothing is the materialized expression of people's life style,aesthetic characteristics and national spirit in a specific region.As one of the important components of Chu culture,Chu costume has distinct regional and unique characteristics,which is of great significance to the fashion guidance of later generations and is worth in-depth analysis.Compared with formal dress,regular dress is more life-style,and it can reflect the social culture and aesthetic system of a certain region and a certain period intuitively.Although the academic research on this topic has not involved much,this paper will try to take the daily clothes of Chu women as a clue,combined with literature,image data,tomb unearthed objects and the general situation of the development of Chu society in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,and use the double evidence method to divide the female daily costume in Chu state into three parts: the head clothing,the body clothing and the foot clothing,to sort out their shape characteristics,material,decoration and color reveal the fashion features of the female daily costume in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.Combined with the social background,the development of textile and handicraft industry,the exchange and integration of multi-culture and geographical environment,this paper attempts to analyze the aesthetic value and cultural connotation of the female daily costume in addition to practical functions,and reveal the regionalism and uniqueness of the costume.
