Chinese environmental pollution problems have received much attention over the years. The air pollution problem has also intensified in China. It has not only affected the daily life of residents, but has even threatened people's life and health. As a result, some capital and labor have moved out of the smog.seriously.Today's talent is an important element of social development.Talent determines the future of the city and is a strategic resource for urban development.Along with the gradual shift of the labor force from the"infinite supply"stage to the"limited supply"stage, many regions have joined the"grab battle"to attract high-level talents and ordinary labor. Therefore, this paper will focus on whether environmental pollution is one of the important factors affecting labor migration, and reduce the probability of labor loss by controlling environmental pollution.Through the CGSS2010 survey data, this paper used micro-level data to measure the probability of environmental pollution and labor migration, verified the impact of environmental pollution on labor migration and its transmission mechanism, and conducted a sample survey for economic openness of different regions. The robustness of environmental pollution was tested by using the industrial SO2 data of286 prefecture-level cities and above. At the same time, the environmental governance indicators were selected as the instrumental variables to reduce the endogenous nature of environmental pollution variables. The study found that as the degree of environmental pollution increases, the probability of labor migration is significantly reduced. The impact of environmental pollution on labor migration will also be improved through government-implemented environmental regulations and industrial structure upgrades. The impact of environmental pollution on labor migration has certain differences in different regions. In small and medium-sized cities, there is no case of forced migration of labor due to environmental pollution problems;in cities with high economic openness,The probability of labor migration caused by environmental pollution is significantly lower than that of cities with low economic openness. The policy inspiration of this paper is to enhance the technological innovation capability of enterprises, vigorously encourage the development of environmental protection industries to reduce pollution emissions, improve environmental quality, narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas, improve the personnel training mechanism, and provide a better environment for employment and living."Strength"of labor migration;gradually optimize and upgrade industrial structure, strive to control pollutant emissions, reduce the role of"thrust";improve the effectiveness of government environmental governance, improve environmental quality;promote economic development,Reduce the probability of labor migration.
