Centrifugal compressors are widely used in many important fields in the natural gas industry such as natural gas extraction,treatment,and pipeline transportation.The safety and reliability of the device directly determine the economic benefits.With the study of the internal mechanism of fluid flow and the development of computer technology and computational fluid dynamics,people began to use computers to simulate the operation process of various engineering equipment.In this context,various companies and research institutes have developed a number of engineering simulation software,such as K-Spice,which has been newly introduced in China due to its high reputation abroad,SPS,which is widely used in long-distance pipeline process simulation,and HYSYS,which is dominant in process simulation,and so on.However,for a specific working condition,what kind of software should be selected for simulation,how to implement the simulation,as well as the reliability of the simulation results are all needed to be further considered.In this study,aiming at the direction of compressor station and pipeline,the internal simulation mechanism of the software was investigated from three aspects in the transient simulation: the physical property calculation method,automatic logic event control method and compressor parameter calculation method during.On this basis,the simulation process and results of steady state and transient state of different software under various working conditions are compared and studied,so as to master the simulation rules of the software.Then the sensitivity of model parameters and the calculation convergence of the model are analyzed to obtain the calculation characteristics of the software.Finally,based on the information obtained from the above research,the usage rules of the software were summarized,and the advantages and disadvantages of different software under the same working condition were analyzed,so as to provide reference for other users and ideas for subsequent research.
