The Design Practice Of Multifunctional Working Desks And Chairs

Affected by the growth of the urban economy,the influx of a large number of people into the city,and the high housing price and land price in the city,the office space of many small and medium-sized enterprises is restricted.The product is the carrier of function.Working desks and chairs play a critical role in people's daily work as they are the platforms to carry out each kind of work task.Meanwhile,due to the development of commodity economy and the publicity effect of all kinds of advertisements,office products with various functions are used in people's daily life.A lot of office products piled up in the limited working space,and the existing problems of part of the singlefunctional working desks and chairs and other office products are also becoming even more obvious.Such product-related problems include inconsistent with the users' using habits,low efficiency and conflict between the functions of different products.Therefore,it is very important to optimize and integrate the function and usage of the working desks and chairs.Multifunctional product refers to a single product that contains two or more functions.Compared with single-functional product,multifunctional products can replace multiple products with one product to achieve multiple functions.Multifunctional products may take up less space,improve the using efficiency of the space,realize the saving and efficient use of resources,and meet the demand of users for a variety of personalized features.Users can work comfortably by using feature-rich desks and chairs for better work experience.This paper aims to study the feasibility of multifunctional design in the design of working desks and chairs by means of functional integration and focusing on the innovation of structure and using mode.The principle of functional integration is used to guide the design of multifunctional working desks and chairs in view of some problems existing in the design of existing office furniture,so that the combination of its function is more reasonable and the product is designed in accordance with user requirements.At thesame time,the current design practice is expected to provide reference for other furniture's multifunctional upgrade design.In the process of design practice,this topic investigates the functional requirements of users for the working desks and chairs,and finds the breakthrough point of product multifunctional integration from the observation and combing of the details of the use of desks and chairs in the author's daily work.Through the design practice,the author tries to integrate the various functions of working desks and chairs,and at the same time to rationalize the combination of modeling and functions from the perspectives of appearance,material selection,ergonomics and design psychology.By taking into consideration of the fast working pace of the modern office workers and the current social background,analyzing the case of multifunctional product,and drawing lessons from the traditional wisdom of the ancients,the author tries to find the right approach to integrate the product functions of working desks and chairs from multiple perspectives.Through the exploration of design practice,this paper demonstrates that the rational integration of multiple functions in a single product can help design more convenient and efficient working desks and chairs that are more reasonable in function,more economical in space,and in line with the usage habits and requirements of contemporary urban office workers,thus providing practice cases and method references for the multifunctional design of working desks and chairs.
