The residual oil vapor in storage tanks must be replaced before the process of maintenance,cleaning and renovation.In engineering practice,the replacement operation of oil vapor is always implemented empirically,which is inefficient and more prone to accidents.Meanwhile,the current detection methods are difficult to measure the maximum concentration of oil vapor in the tank,which also poses great threat to the safety of oil vapor replacement.To solve the above problems,the oil vapor replacement laws and safety evaluation methods of various storage tanks are studied in this paper.To ensure the safety and efficiency of replacement process,a mathematical model of oil vapor replacement was established according to the characteristics of the replacement process,the error between model calculation results and experimental data is less than 5%.The three-dimensional dynamic distribution of oil vapor concentration was predicted by simulating typical storage tanks on site,and the oil vapor replacement laws of several common storage tanks were established.On this basis,to make the research results suitable for storage tanks with different structures and capacities,the replacement law under different combination factors was studied by orthogonal numerical simulation.The results show that tank capacity,intake time and intake rate have great influence on replacement efficiency,thus it should be considered first in the design of replacement operation scheme.Furthermore,to meet the requirement of real-time engineering calculation,a fast prediction of the maximum concentration of oil vapor in the process of tank replacement is realized by training the results of numerical simulation with neural network.For different schemes,the acceleration multiples are between 384 and 1694,which meets the requirement of real-time prediction in engineering.To sum up,this paper presents a safety evaluation method which combines computer rapid prediction with field detection.It solves the problem that it is difficult to detect the highest concentration of oil vapor in tank by field detection.At the same time,to make the research content more convenient for field application,a software for predicting and safety evaluation of oil vapor treatment in storage tanks is developed.This study will provide a reference for efficient and safe replacement of various storage tanks.
