According to the principles above and the characteristics of storage tank area , Dow's chemical fire & explosion hazard index method is used in order to analyze the danger degree of saving tank in the chemical plant and at the same time fault tree analysis method is also used to analyze the reasons and law of fire & explosion accident.The analysis above helps to carry out everyday safty supervising and to perfect safty rules and safty regulations. However these assessment methods are very complex and the amount of their calculation is large so calculating soft ware is developed based on Visual Basic 6.0.This kind of calculating soft ware largely shortens assessment periods.
