| Coal resource is one of the most important strategic energy sources in China.It plays a vital role in China’s energy structure and supports China’s national economic development.In the increasingly fierce market competition,as a specialized company engaged in coal handling operations,the Second Company of Qinhuangdao Port CO.,Ltd urgently needs to develop a coal business competition strategy that is in line with its own actual situation,and enhance its core competitiveness to achieve healthy and sustainable development.This paper takes the Second Company as the research object.The main purpose of the research is to determine the competitive strategy suitable for the Second Company’s coal business.Through the analysis of the external and internal environment of the Second Company,the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the Second Company are clarified.Based on the coal business status of the Second Company,it will formulate a competitive strategy for the Second Company’s coal business,clarify the strategic focus,and formulate guarantee measures for the implementation of the strategy to provide a basis for the successful implementation of the Second Company’s competitive strategy.Firstly,this paper studies the competitive strategy theoretically and explains the competitive strategy conceptually.Combined with the domestic and foreign research results of competitive strategy and the theory of competitive strategy,this paper analyzes the political environment,economic environment,social environment and scientific and technological environment of the Second Company,and discusses the industry competitive environment of the Second Company through Porter five force model.Secondly,it analyzes the internal environment of the Second Company,clarifies the organizational structure of the enterprise,and understands the current situation of the coal business,human resources and financial resources of the enterprise.Thirdly,construct SWOT matrix,make clear the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the Second Company,formulate the coal business competition strategy of the Second Company,formulate the coal business competition strategic objectives of the Second Company,and make clear the strategic focus of the Second Company.Finally,the concrete implementation strategy of the coal business competition strategy of the Second Port Company is formulated from four aspects: concentrated development of small and medium-sized customers,improvement of management and operation efficiency,provision of distinctive products for customers,and development of value-added services.It also puts forward the guarantee measures for the implementation of the coal business competition strategy of the Second Company.It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide some reference for the Second Company to formulate a reasonable competition strategy. |
