Climate warming has become a serious obstacle to the sustainable development of humankind.Carbon emissions have been identified as a major drivers of rising temperatures.Tourism,as an emerging sunrise industry with a high degree of industrial correlation,a long industrial chain and a strong driving force, currently shows a rapid development momentum and a significant gathering trend, and has been built into a strategic pillar industry of China's national economy. However,it is not a"smoke-free industry",and the carbon emissions caused by it cannot be easily ignored.Therefore,clarifyin_?g the the relationship between the tourism industry agglomeration and tourism carbon emission intensity and scientificly evaluating the carbon emissions of tourism in China are useful for reference to better understand the development of China's tourism industry,to grasp the factors that affect the tourism carbon emission intensity, and to timely reduce the tourism carbon emissions. In this paper,The location quotient and the“bottom-up”are used to estimate the tourism industry agglomeration and carbon emission intensity values in the 30 Provinces of China from 2000 to 2017;Then,with the method of center of gravity, the spatial distribution pattern and their difference characteristics are analyzed comprehensively.;Finally, establishing a regression analysis model to explore the impact of tourism industry agglomeration on tourism carbon emission intensity, and further explore the other more factors affecting carbon emissions. The main conclusions reached are as follows:(1)In terms of time series, during the study period,China's tourism industry agglomeration and tourism carbon emissions generally show a continuous upward trend, while tourism carbon emission intensity is just the opposite, showing a declining characteristic;(2)From the perspective of spatial layout,China's tourism industry agglomeration exhibits high distribution characteristics in the east and relatively low in the central and western regions; And the gap in the concentration of tourism industry in the overall scope is shrinking year by year; The tourism carbon emission intensity is lower in the eastern region than in the central and western regions;(3)During the study period, the center of gravity of the tourism industry is located in the central region of Henan Province, and its movement trajectory generally shows a slight movement to the northwest, with a distance of approximately 118.84km;The center of gravity of the tourism carbon emission intensity is distributed in Shaanxi and Hubei provinces, and its movement trajectory generally shows a tendency of being slightly south-southeast as a whole, with a moving distance of approximately264.385km;(4)From the perspective of tourism industry,in China, its agglomeration degree has a negative effect on carbon emission intensity, and the intensity decreases by 0.0024%for every additional unit of agglomeration. From the perspective of each region, the effect of agglomeration on carbon emission intensity in the west is larger than that in the middle and east.According to the above conclusions, this paper puts forward some suggestions on coordinating the relationship between tourism industry development and low-carbon economy.
