The Cultural Origin And Evolution Of The Kunmen Style In Chinese Traditional Furniture

In order to explore the cultural origin and development process of Kunmen style in traditional Chinese furniture,this article takes the Kunmen style as the starting point,traditional furniture as the carrier,and time as the clue.The development characteristics and cultural connotation of the Kunmen style in each historical period;horizontally taking the region as the span,the style characteristics of the western pointed arches are specifically elaborated,and the differences between the oriental Kunmen styles and the western pointed arches are compared to explore the East and West.The difference between cultural heritage and design thinking.This article clarifies the development context of the Kunmen style through the literature review method and case analysis method.The original Kunmen style appeared on the legs and feet of the bronze in the Shang Dynasty,It has a strong theological symbolism.When developed into the Xi Zhou Dynasty,the Kunmen style gradually combined with the functionality of the utensils,and eventually secularized in the Spring and Autumn Period.The carrier also changed from bronze to daily furniture.In the Qin and Han dynasties,the style of the Kunmen entered a brief stagnation.In the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the prosperity of Buddhist furniture once again emerged,and a large-scale emergence period continued into the Tang and Song Dynasties.During this period,the style of the Kunmen was plentiful,diverse,and presented from The general trend of the transformation of religious attributes to humanities and rationality,until the Ming and Qing Dynasties fully matured and completed the evolution of size from small to large,structural components to be systematic,and the complete elimination of symbolism.Finally,the inductive analysis method is used to compare the commonalities and differences between the traditional Chinese Kunmen style and the western pointed arch shape,which reflects the contradiction between Eastern round-path thinking and Western linear thinking,as well as the two sides' recognition of the three different roles of human-object-nature relationship.The purpose of studying this subject is to analyze the development process of the details of Chinese traditional furniture decoration,to perceive the traditional creation concept from the surface and the inside,and to hope that in the modern design path of our country,we will uphold the essence of traditional creation culture and walk out of cultural confidence and Chinese style.
