At present,the global mega trends is intensifying,such as urbanization,digitization,and the shortage of resources are leading to strong economic changes."Economic uncertainty" has become a hot keyword in 2019.This change in the macro environment has created some enormous challenges for the development of manufacturing industry.In the long-term focus,manufacturing industry needs to rely on the urban environment for development to meet the serious challenges of future.And because industrial production is an essential part of developing cities,it plays a major role in creating value and wealth in cities,the future economic,environmental and social development of the city also requires the manufacturing industry to be integrated in the form of an ‘urban production' in a city-friendly way.At the same time,the negative impact that the “Urban Factory” may have on the surrounding environment needs to be addressed,and the sustainability requirements of manufacturing plants become progressively important.Based on the characteristics of the current urban environment,combined with the theory of sustainable development,this paper constructs a set of evaluation system of manufacturing plants' sustainability in urban production environment,which provides a reference for scientific decision-making and has reference significance for manufacturing plants to develop solutions for embedding factories into cities.First of all,on the basis of reviewing and consulting the previous relevant literatures,this paper summarizes the urban production environment,sustainable development related theories,sustainable cities,sustainable factories,green buildings and other aspects.Secondly,on the basis of this,following the principles of constructing a sustainable evaluation index system,on the basis of summarizing the international sustainable index system and relevant researches by scholars at home and abroad,and combining the characteristics of urban production environment and the differences between urban production environment and suburban production environment,an evaluation system of manufacturing plants' sustainability in urban production environment is constructed.On the basis of this index system,the difference between the sustainability of factories in cities and suburbs is analyzed through questionnaires,and the order of importance of key factors for sustainable development of factories in urban production environment and suburban production environment is obtained and verified.After that,G1-COWA method is used for calculating the weight of indicators and the evaluation model of manufacturing plants' sustainability based on unascertained measure theory is established.Finally,the BS Hangzhou factory is selected as the case study object to evaluate the sustainability.According to the evaluation results,this paper provides the targeted policy recommendations,in order to provide a sustainable development path for the company,but also for other similar enterprises to provide some reference value.
