Electromagnetic riveting is a new technology with high energy rate,which uses coil swirl flow field to realize the rapid forming of rivets.Because of its large molding energy,the riveting of material rivets with high yield strength can be completed.Because of its small equipment size,electromagnetic riveting can solve the problem that large pressure riveting can not work under the condition of open limit.It is of great scientific significance and application value to improve the quality and efficiency of aviation riveting.In this paper,the working principle of electromagnetic riveting is analyzed and summarized,and the vector expression of induced magnetic field intensity of electromagnetic riveting coil is derived by using the knowledge of electromagnetism theory.The electromagnetic riveting model is established by finite element simulation,the force of electromagnetic riveting coil is analyzed,and its failure mode is studied.Through the established model,the process test data of 304 stainless steel rivets and the analysis of riveting specimens,the parameters related to electromagnetic riveting are determined,and the riveting quality and effect of electromagnetic riveting are verified.The experimental results show that the electromagnetic riveting can make the rivets produce better interference fit and the rivets fill the nail holes.It can form a good interference fit,and the shape,size and surface quality of the nail head are good.The power supply equipment with 610 u F capacitance can complete the riveting of stainless steel rivets,and there is no macroscopic crack in the riveting.Through the establishment of riveting model,the riveting quality can be effectively analyzed,and the better interference fit and pier head size can be obtained by adjusting the capacitance value,and the riveting quality can be improved.According to the simulation results and process test data.In order to solve the problem that the rivets with large number of rivets with about 5mm diameter are easy to be damaged,a modular electromagnetic riveting gun is proposed.Using the modular structure,while ensuring the continuous operation,the coil and riveted joint and other easily lost components can be made into modular integrated blocks,which can be replaced quickly when needed to ensure the continuity of machining and the improvement of electromagnetic riveting efficiency. |
