With the continuous development of information technology,more and more intelligent terminals have emerged,on the one hand,it has facilitated people’s daily life and improved their quality of life;on the other,the explosion of data increase makes the traditional IoT architecture overburdened.The limited bandwidth cannot support such a large number of heterogeneous terminal requests,especially the real-time requirements of some application scenarios.At present,the construction of smart city is in full swing,especially the garbage collecting management.How to manage the garbage efficiently and cheaply is an urgent problem to be solved in the development of smart city.Therefore,this paper mainly researches and implements a garbage collection intelligent management system.Generally speaking,the process of garbage management is mainly divided into two parts:dropping and collecting.Firstly,this paper focuses on the part of garbage collection,and proposes a smart garbage monitoring and collecting scheme based on edge computing.This scheme combines edge computing with Narrow Band Internet of Things(NB-IoT)technology,and uses smart terminals placed in the trash can to send the environmental data of the trash can to the edge server periodically.The human-computer interaction program running on it can provide efficient management.Then,this paper designs a garbage dropping management scheme based on embedded artificial intelligence for the garbage dropping process.This scheme transplants an artificial intelligence model into a smart terminal,the terminal can classify garbage when people drop garbage,and people can get corresponding points based on the garbage.Finally,based on the above two schemes,this paper proposes an NB-IoT-based garbage collection intelligent management system.This system monitors the status of the trash can in real time and provides an efficient management platform.The machine learning model running in the terminal can classify the garbage.Real experiments show that the system has high stability and real-time performance,which can effectively improve the efficiency of garbage monitoring and collecting.The garbage classification module running in the terminal enables people to get corresponding points when dropping garbage,and the accuracy of the garbage classification model also reached 81.75%.
