As an efficient and clean energy source, natural gas plays a vital role in economic development. However, with the development of China's urbanization construction, part of the natural gas pipeline has gradually developed into a high-consistency area(High Consequence Areas),referred to as HCAs),once the pipeline leakage causes accidents,it will bring immeasurable serious consequences. The paper conducts a risk assessment system and application research for the high-impact areas of natural gas long-distance pipelines, aiming to fully understand the pipeline operation status and high-impact areas. In the case of pipe sections, preventive and control measures shall be taken in advance to prevent the occurrence of pipeline accidents.Based on the theoretical model of natural gas pipeline accident consequences, based on the field parameters of natural gas outer loop network in a city's metropolitan area,FLUENT software is used to establish a model for numerical simulation, and the development of natural gas leakage and the development of fire and explosion are analyzed respectively.Provide scientific guidance, and then use Matlab software to calculate the impact radius of pipeline accidents by using different thresholds correspond ing to fire and explosion accident damage criteria, determine the impact range of different leakage aperture accidents, and prepare for the establishment of HCAs identification model.Based on the research on the field data of a natural gas pipeline company in China, the entropy method is used to analyze the characteristic factors and contribution rate of the high-yield area of natural gas long-distance pipeline, and the research on the radius of influence of pipeline accidents is carried out by using the TOPSIS.Methods The identification model of high-yield area of long-distance natural gas pipeline was established.Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional Kent's scoring method in the risk assessment of high-yield areas of natural gas long-distance pipelines, increasing planning indicators and emergency indicators, forming an improved Kent scoring method, establishing a high-impact risk assessment index system for natural gas long-distance pipelines, and The underlying factor scoring criteria discusses the fuzzy risk assessment process for high-impact areas of natural gas long-distance pipelines. The application of the outer loop network of a city's metropolitan area is carried out,and the evaluation results are in full compliance with the objective reality of the pipeline.
