| Water-based coatings use water instead of solvents,and greatly reduce the content of VOCs,it’s the direction of the future development of the coating industry.In the previous research of this research group,the alkyd resin emulsion prepared by the external emulsification method has excellent performance,which is of great significance for the water-based alkyd coating.The study of color paste supporting alkyd resin emulsion prepared by external emulsification method is of great significance for the development of waterborne alkyd coating.In this paper,alkyd resin emulsion maked by external emulsification method.Choose different wetting and dispersing agents or their combination to prepare color paste,formulate color paint with emulsion.Discussed the effect of color paste synthesis conditions on the performance of color paste and paint.Scanning electron microscope(SEM),atomic force microscope(AFM),particle size analyzer,surface tension meter,optical electron microscope,etc.were used for characterization and analysis,the main conclusions are as follows: Prepared alkyd resin emulsion by reverse method,choose potassium hydroxide(KOH)as regulator,adjust the p H of the emulsion,to mprove the compatibility of emulsion and color paste and study the effect of p H changes on the properties of emulsion.The results showed that when the p H of the emulsion is between 7.0 and 8.0,the stability of the emulsion is good and there is no flash rust.Use the titanium dioxide,carbon black,heavy calcium,barium acid four kinds of pigments and fillers to prepare black and white slurry matching alkyd resin emulsion.Explore the effect of the type and amount of wetting and dispersing agent,substrate wetting agent 340,etc.on the performance of color paste.The results show: high polymer type wetting and dispersing agent has good dispersion effect for black and white color paste,Non-ionic and most anionic wetting and dispersing agents have good dispersion effect on white.The performance of white color paste is the best when the amount of wetting and dispersing agent is 1.5%,the black light is 2.0%,the black matte is 2.5%.After the amount of base material wetting agent 340 reaches 1.5 g(per 1000 g of pigment and filler),the grinding time is shortened to 100 min.Use different types of wetting and dispersing agents to prepare color paste and make color paint.Discuss the influence of wetting and dispersing agent,the type and amount of defoaming agent on the performance of color paint.The results show: The best adding amount of white color paint wetting and dispersing agent is 1.5%,the black is 2.0%.The optimal dosage of antifoaming agent is 1.5‰.According to the best conditions for the addition of defoamer and wetting and dispersing agent to prepare paint.The color paint prepared by polymer type polyacrylic acid ammonium salt dispersant 1124 and 845 has good water resistance,>96 h,but the surface and hard work time is slightly longer,surface dry ≥ 4 h,solid dry ≥ 8 h.The anionic ammonium salt type wetting and dispersing agent monoisopropanolamine and LAS-IPA have good wetting and dispersing effects,the paint dries quickly,surface drying ≤ 2 h,solid drying ≤ 6 h,but water resistance is slightly worse,≤ 48 h.Nonionic wetting and dispersing agents A5 and OP-10,the surface tension of the prepared paint is less than 35 m N / m,high gloss,bright light> 95 °,semi-gloss> 65 °.In the case of excellent emulsion performance,the compound wetting and dispersing agent formula can make up for the shortcomings of a single wetting and dispersing agent,and the properties of the resulting paint are often superior to the single wetting and dispersing agent.The color paint obtained by the compound formula has good gloss,gloss> 95 °,half gloss> 70 °,surface tension <32.5 m N / m,hiding power <4.4 g,surface dryness≤3 h,solid dryness≤8 h,water resistance> 72 h.All performance indicators have reached or even exceeded national standards. |
