The natural gas is an important chemical raw material and quality clean energy.With the development of economy,The demand for energy is really increasing,exploration efforts for gas have been greatly increased,natural gas related businesses show a vigorous development trend,However,some natural gas contains H2S and other acidic gases,which are very harmful to the work page,agricultural production and personal and property safety.Therefore,natural gas desulphurization is a very important process in the natural gas industry.In 1890,Britain began to use solid iron oxide dry method to remove H2S in the gas,which has been more than 100 years of history.In the past 70 years,more than 100 gas purification methods have been reported at home and abroad,but few of them have been applied in the natural gas industry.It can be roughly divided into the following types:wet desulphurization,dry desulphurization,membrane separation,biological desulphurization and other methods.This paper mainly introduces the technology of LO-CAT device in wet desulphurization.Longchang natural gas purification plant was completed and put into operation in October 2001.The plant adopts the USPOVER lo-catii liquid phase catalytic oxidation process,which is the first patented technology introduced in China.But because Longchang natural gas purification plant put into operation for many years,with the significant changes in upstream to gas,make etc.counties purification plant under low load production,lead to run operation data and the original design parameter change is bigger,as the condition of changing LO-CAT II sulfur recovery unit in a series of problems,such as running often appear a large number of peculiar smell,near campus environment impact,detection electrode potential than ever on the high side,the solution foaming,chemicals consumption higher.This article through the consult literature material,to the LO-CAT Ⅱ sulfur recovery unit at home and abroad,development situation and the device running the LO-CAT II sulfur recovery unit process principle,structure and operation of research equipment,the equipment of the process were analyzed.LO-CAT II,analysis of fluid flow model,the characteristics of sulfur recovery unit select appropriate calculation model and numerical calculation method,and using the VOF model to simulate the absorption,to simulate the fluid flow field in the oxidizer by establishing a geometric model,simulation under different air speed,acid gas absorption oxidizer multiphase flow speed of the cloud,cloud,the velocity vector diagram and understand LO-CAT II sulfur recovery unit of absorption oxidation of gas and liquid two phase flow characteristics and laws,and through the analysis of experimental results at home and abroad,summarizes the excess air coefficient,the change of the parameters such as pH influence on the desulfurization effect of experience.Combining with the actual production status,and through the air volume adjustment,adjust dosage,at the same time,be solved such as etc.counties natural gas purification plant LO-CAT II device at runtime problems solution.Take the results of field experiment and numerical simulation results with the combination of form,to solve the low load LO-CAT II sulfur recovery unit under the condition of running a series of problems,make the indicators tend to be normal,ensure the equipment running smoothly,bring certain economic and social benefits.
