Research On Ming And Qing Trousseau Design

Trousseau has a long history as the toiletries for female,which is one type of traditional diminutive furniture category.As an item with high utility value and artistic value,it marks the charm of ancient Chinese creation design.The Ming and Qing Dynastries are the glorious milestone in the history of Chinese furniture development.The tradition of Kang-Qian Flourshing,the custom of thick marriage,the ideology of the feudal imperial power,and the pursuit of enjoyment present a different style and features in trousseau ' s form design,structural design,decorative design,material technology,etc.This article uses archeological documents,well-documented catalogues,and trousseau from museum collections as research materials.First,the background,purpose,and significance of the thesis are discussed,and the research subject is determined to be the trousseau subject with frames and storage functions.Secondly,this article also summarizes the development and evolution,source of form,and function of trousseau in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Thirdly,the author used the methods of design science to explore the morphological classification and structural characteristics of the trousseau in the Ming and Qing Dynasties for the study of its main body.Then,analyzing the decoration of different parts of trousseau,mainly including the theme of dermatoglyphic,connotation,expression and decorative features of the pattern.Hardwood materials and rare mosaic materials,as well as the carving,lacquering and mosaic technology brought by these materials,which are all contents that decoration needs to study.Finally,exploring the marriage custom culture,feudal feminine culture,and the ancient creations' "The beauty of neutralization","combination of culture and texture",and the divine creative force thought of "controller is like" deeply.The trousseau of the Ming and Qing Dynasties not only has the gorgeous and beautiful form,but also carries a specific creation culture and reaches its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties with the development of social economy and culture.Although traditional trousseau has withdrawn from the stage of history,this kind of daily necessities that has brought generations of women to life is worth exploring.By investigating the culture and creation ideas contained in the trousseau,the inheritance of creations is not only the lineage,but also from its culture and thought.
