Since its occurrence,Surrealism has influenced many fields of art with its unique dream interpretation,quantum weirdness artistic style,which includes movie posters design.The expansion of the Surrealism style not only enriches the creative thinking of movie posters design but also makes its expression diversified.Particularly when stepping into 21^st century,the vigorous development of the film industry,the progress of science and technology have promoted the application and development of Surrealism style movie posters design.The designer uses Surrealism style in movie posters design to create a novel,strange and special visions for people.This not only meets the aesthetic needs of people but also constantly innovates the application form Surrealism style in movie posters design.In general,this paper focuses on the application of Surrealist style in the design of movie posters.First of all,the occurrence and evolution of Surrealism and the relationship and influence between Surrealism and movie posters design are discussed;Secondly,through the combination of Surrealism theory and movie posters design,the dream interpretation,multi-dimension,irrational characteristics of Surrealism style in the design are summarized;Thirdly,from the angle of designers,the expression methods of Surrealism style in movie posters design can not only echo these features but also enrich the relevant theoretical connotation;Finally,the trend of diversification and nationalization of movie posters design in Surrealism context is expounded with a critical perspective.It is hoped that this paper can enrich movie posters relevant research on Surrealism style by exploring the applications and development trend in the Surrealism context.
