Under the background of the promotion of the "Healthy China" and "Rural Revitalization" strategies, the dietary status of rural residents in China are not optimistic. As a "highland of economic development in western China",Sichuan Province is a typical large population province and a large agricultural province. Its dietary status of rural residents is representative of those in all provinces of China.Taking Sichuan Province as an example to study the factors influencing the dietary status of rural residents, which is of great practical significance for improving the food consumption, dietary nutrition and the dietary health of rural residents of China. This study summarizes the theory of diet status of rural residents and analyzes the current situation of food consumption of rural residents and the prominent problems they face.According to the economic development level, terrain characteristics, population structure and other factors in sichuan province, more than 400 rural residents in Chengdu,Neijiang and Ya 'an were selected to carry out empirical research on the 24 h 3-day diet review method and weighing method from July to August,2018.Based on the field survey data, the dietary status of rural residents in Sichuan province was evaluated with the help of the Sichuan Rural Resident Dietary Balance Index(SR-DBI)and Reference Intake of Dietary Nutrients of Chinese Residents(2013).LASSO method was used to screen out the factors affecting the diet status of rural residents from the aspects of economy, society, family, individual and nutritional health.Based on the analysis of dietary status and the research results of influencing factors, the paper puts forward some policy suggestions for improving the dietary status of rural residents. From the analysis of annual food consumption data,In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,the dietary conditions of rural residents in China have greatly improved, but they still face many outstanding problems. For example, rural residents in Sichuan Province: 1)In terms of food consumption, food and vegetable consumption is declining, and other food consumption is increasing, but compared with the target value of the "Outline for Food and Nutrition Development of Chinese Residents(2014-2020)",meat and food Consumption is excessive, and milk intake is seriously insufficient;2)In terms of dietary nutrition intake, energy intake has decreased significantly, fat intake has increased, and protein intake has tended to stabilize, but compared with the goals of the "Outline of Food and Nutrition Development for Chinese Residents(2014-2020)",energy intake is insufficient and fat Excessive intake, protein intake is seriously insufficient. From the analysis of the daily food consumption data in the survey, the dietary situation of rural residents in Sichuan is an unbalanced consumption structure and unreasonable nutritional intake. The main performances are as follows: 1)According to the SR-DBI evaluation, insufficient food consumption and excessive consumption coexist at the same time,,90.76% of residents over-consumption of food recommended to "eat less",more than 90% of residents under-consumption of food recommended to "eat more";2)Comparing with "Reference Quantity of Dietary Nutrients of Chinese Residents(2013)",75% of residents have insufficient energy intake,47% of residents have insufficient protein intake, and all residents have selenium.Insufficient intake,44% of residents have excessive carbohydrate intake,90% of residents have excessive fat intake. From the analysis of influencing factors, the results of LASSO analysis show that among the factors that affect the dietary status of rural residents in Sichuan,in addition to economic factors, social factors, family factors, and individual factors, the nutritional health(KAP)factors of decider are significantly affected. In addition, increasing food expenditure, participating in medical insurance, increasing the number of breeding, decider have the correct nutritional health awareness(K),and positive nutritional health attitudes of decider(A)will help the diet to be balanced and reasonable;but increasing total income,Increasing the planting area, improving the level of education, and the nutritional health behaviors(P)of decider have no significant effect on improving dietary status. There are differences in dietary conditions in different regions, especially in terms of dietary nutrition intake.Based on the above conclusions, this study proposes four policy recommendations to improve the food consumption of rural residents: 1)improve the rural social security system and enhance the welfare level of rural residents;2)carry out targeted nutrition and health education, enrich the form of popularization of popular science;3)explore to broaden and increase income Channels to increase food consumption expenditure;4)actively study dietary nutrition knowledge and optimize the food consumption structure.
