Natural gas plays an irreplaceable and important role in the overall energy structure.Pipeline transportation,as the main mode of transportation of natural gas, occupies a pivotal position in the development of the gas industry. With the development of the Internet and IT information technology,as well as the advent of the era of knowledge economy, the informatization of pipeline management has become an inevitable trend. At present, some pipeline management companies in western developed countries have made extensive use of computer network technology in the management of pipeline projects, began to realize the pipeline management becomes network and virtualization.China's natural gas pipeline automation technology is in the rapid development stage, the technical level of the pipeline information system varies, there are still individual early construction of the pipeline with station field local control or station control room centralized control is the main, the whole line using voice for manual scheduling, poor real-time,slow failure response speed, has long been not suitable for the development of the times.Although the new project has made great progress in the construction of pipeline monitoring, station control system and dispatch center informatization,it still lacks consistent standards and unified information integration of the upper and lower systems, especially in the context of the Internet of Things intelligent monitoring, security tracking and positioning, control integration platform construction, improve the operational efficiency of the pipeline network, there are still large gaps.In this paper, based on the pipeline informatization construction of the J branch line of the gas pipeline company in Province X,the information on the content and industry characteristics of the pipeline informatization construction is combed out using case analysis method and literature research method, and a comparative analysis method is used to find the differences between the regular gas construction and the informatization construction, and then the relevant countermeasures and recommendations for the pipeline informatization construction are proposed.Structurally, the article is divided into six chapters.Chapter one is an introduction;Chapter two is an overview of the gas pipeline company and its informatization benefits;Chapter three is an analysis of the current status of informatization construction of the Spur Line J pipeline;Chapter four is an evaluation and analysis of the informatization benefits of the J branch pipeline;Chapter five is a countermeasure proposal to enhance the informatization benefits of the J branch pipeline;Chapter six is aconclusion and outlook.Through case analysis, this paper believes that the information construction of the J branch pipeline has brought great improvement to the operation and management benefits of the branch, which can provide useful reference value for the other pipeline gas construction. However,in the process of construction and operation of the J branch information technology;there are still problems such as lack of standardization and weak awareness of information technology among staff, which limit the benefits of information technology. To address the problems and reasons, this article proposes countermeasures in terms of information technology construction standards, establishment of enterprise management mode, control of information technology construction costs, improvement of staff information technology quality, and extend the benefit module of informatization, etc. Those provide more comprehensive and meaningful guidance for the subsequent natural gas pipeline information construction and operation.
