Sinopec Great Wall energy and chemical(Ningxia)CO.LTD coal gasification methanol plant adopts GE coal water slurry gasification technology from the United States,and the raw material gas is converted and purified(using low temperature methanol washing)to synthesize methanol.The original design capacity is 500,000 tons/year,completed and put into production in January 2014.According to the operation status of the unit,the main bottlenecks of capacity expansion are found out by analyzing the process,equipment and auxiliary system,and referring to the operation of similar units in other units:(1)low concentration of coal slurry;(2)small flow passage of burner material in gasifier;(3)catalyst for shift furnace.(4)The inner parts of the methanol scrubber,hydrogen sulfide concentrator and hot regeneration tower of the low temperature methanol washing unit can not meet the revamped requirements;(5)the reaction capacity of the synthesis system is insufficient;(6)the treatment capacity of the 3+1 column of the distillation system is insufficient.In view of the above problems,the corresponding expansion and transformation scheme is formulated and implemented.At the same time,the process parameters of the synthetic system are simulated,and the process parameters are optimized and adjusted through the simulation results.After revamping,72-hour performance calibration and analysis were carried out on the treatment capacity,process parameters,product quality and energy consumption of the unit.The results showed that the capacity of the revamped unit increased from 1500t/d to more than 1860 t/d,and the annual output reached 620,000 tons/year;the main process parameters were within the prescribed range;the quality of methanol products reached the prescribed level.To the national standard for industrial methanol(GB338-2011)in the requirements of high-quality products;other material consumption,comprehensive energy consumption and transformation before the basic level or slightly lower,to achieve the desired goal.
