As China's important western land-based strategic energy channel, the long-term stable operation of China-Kazakhstan crude oil pipeline is of great significance to China's energy security strategy. This article has collected the basic data of the Kazakhstan section of the first phase of the Kazakhstan-China Crude Oil Pipeline, introduced the basic principles of the oil pipeline design, formulated the design task book, summarized the process design method, carried out the oil pipeline process design and calculation, combined with the present value method to make comparisons of the plans, determined the final deployment plan, and used SPS software to study the operating conditions under different transmission levels.Using SPS simulation software, simulations were performed on the designed solutions, with 5 types of input capacity of 10 million tons/year,12 million tons/year,14 million tons/year,16 million tons/year,and 18 million tons/year respectively.Considering the effect of large differences in ground temperature along the pipeline between winter and summer on the viscosity of oil products, each type of volume was considered separately in winter and summer, and a total of 10 different conditions were used for steady-state hydraulic calculations. At the same time, the pressures at the stations and temperature along the pipeline were determined. The results show that the pipeline from Atasu to Alashankou can operate steadily when the normal temperature transport process is used in both summer and winter.
