Compared to the tanker and ship transportation, because of low cost, high efficiency, short construction period, small land occupied, pollution-free and safety, pipeline transportation has become one of the main transmission mode of various oil and gas fluid in the world. Corrosion is one of the important factors that make the long distance crude oil pipeline failure, Cathodic protection method is an effective method for buried pipeline corrosion protection.This article through studies the Wuqi-Yanlian oil pipeline cathodic protection system, summarizing the principle of cathodic protection system and three kinds of cathodic protection methods, there are the sacrificial anode cathodic protection, the impressed current cathodic protection and drainage protection laws, and summarizing the actuality of research in the field of cathodic protection method at home and abroad, illustrating the complexity and diversity of cathodic protection method in practical application. So this article through testing the length of 402.55 kilometers of Wuqi-Yanlian oil pipeline cathodic protection system, the results showed that 240 test piles of potential are protected by the protection potential; application of RD-PCM current mapping system to test the coating leakage detection, results showed that the leakage are 285; through test ground equipment and pipeline position and detection, the results showed that there are some phenomenon such as exposing part of the test pile, no warning signs; For current test and determination of soil corrosively, after 8 hours monitoring, results showed that the current curve is smooth, found no signs of stray current interference; Chose three points for pipeline excavation detection research, respectively is 1#,4#,9#, the measured data after the excavation, assessment qualified data results.Through the study the Wuqi-Yanlian pipeline cathodic protection system, analyzing the detection problem and giving the rectification opinions, optimizing the cathodic protection system, ensuring the normal effective operation of the cathodic protection system.
