Radial-well technology is a new technology to increase the production of CBM,and by drilling a series of radial Wells can effectively process the CBM reservoir and increase the gas yield.And the radial well is more prominent because of its own characteristics(small radius,no casing and cementation).Because the radial well technology is relatively new,the scholars have less research on the stability of the radial well wall.This paper probes into the stability of radial well wall in qinshui basin,and selects five blocks in the Qinshui Basin,including Sihe,Pingshang,Hudi,Chengzhuang and Zhaozhuang.Through physical mechanics experiment,numerical simulation method,mechanical formula derivation and mathematical method,the physical and mechanical factors and engineering geological factors affecting the radial well of coalbed methane are studied by experiment and RFPA.On this way,the stability evaluation of the borehole in the five blocks is carried out.Finally,the shudy work on the site and have achieved good results in the field experiments.
