With the rapid development of human society, especially after the industrial revolution in the 18 th century, the mode of production and life of human beings have undergone earthshaking changes. From the handicraft age to the industrial age of human society appeared a lot of machine, and also the first batch of white-collar.After entering modern society, the number of white-collar workers has been further expanded, and the number of them has far exceeded that of blue-collar workers.Urban white-collar crowd was seen as a group who with white clothes and high-earning,it is normal for the office environment clean and tidy in office buildings. In this environment sitting position is the main position and even became the norm. This determines the important status and role of the office chair under the office environment.Office chair,as a kind of chair in the office with desktop work, has received much attention in recent years. Its design is related to the work efficiency, comfort and even health of office staff. At present, common office seats are ergonomically designed, reasonable ergonomic considerations and excellent material utilization to ensure the comfort of office white-collar workers,to a certain extent to reduce the adverse impact on health. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the research on the orientation of sitting behavior of urban whitecollar workers and the attention paid to emotionalization.Based on the above background information, this paper aims to reduce the unhealthy behaviors of urban white-collar workers in the office environment.Starting from the sitting posture and regulating behaviors of white-collar workers in the office environment, this paper focuses on how to improve the design of office seats through the use of persuasive design.First of all, this paper uses the literature research method to understand the research and development of office chair design, sort out and study the concept and application field of persuasive design, credibility, design ethics and other important theories, and understand the concept, level and value application of emotional design,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for the following design research.Secondly, conduct in-depth research and analysis on the behavior change model, make clear the classification of user behavior level and influencing factors, combine the behavioral implementation step decomposition theory, build the emotional persuasion design model, and summarize the specific design strategy.Thirdly, the questionnaire survey and interview method are used to investigate the target users,to capture the users needs and design opportunities, and to evaluate and screen the user capability rating network in combination with the behavior change model,so as to determine the main behavior as the design target. Finally, combined with the results of the previous user research, conduct design practice and design evaluation of office chair behavior oriented under the guidance of persuasion theory.Behavioral-oriented design of office chairs based on behavior change can effectively improve the persuasive power, improve the healthy behavior of white-collar workers, alleviate the sub-health status, maintain a more pleasant mood and higher work efficiency in daily office work,so as to relieve pressure and reduce medical costs. This study aims to improve the behavioral persuasion and persistence of existing office chairs, which can promote the formation of healthy behaviors and intervene in the early stage of the accumulation of adverse health factors to help prevent related diseases or sub-health conditions in advance and promote the harmonious development of individual physical and mental health. The research in this paper is of good significance to the design of other office chairs.
