As the 40 th anniversary of reform and opening-up,people's quality of life has improved greatly, and now people's concerns of also from eating well, live well, gradually turned into hope can eat healthy, live at ease,in recent years, the continuous haze weather, also let us live on air quality has become the focus of the people. In 2018,the state council also issued a three-year action plan to win the battle against blue sky pollution, bringing the issue of air pollution control to the national level. There are more development opportunities in cities than in rural areas,so more young people are willing to go to cities for development, leading to population aggregation in big cities. Therefore,is there a certain relationship between the size of a city and urban air quality? If so,what is the specific relationship between the two? On the one hand, urban population aggregation will lead to increased consumption of urban resources, and the emissions of relevant waste gas, harmful gas and soot particles will increase, resulting in poor air quality. On the other hand, the increase of urban population will promote the economic development of the city and the progress of science and technology, which will be conducive to the purification of urban air.So it's not clear exactly what the relationship is.This paper analyzes the air quality effect of population size in 113 key cities of environmental protection in China to judge the specific influence of urban population size on urban air quality.Released this paper compiled the country each year to measure urban air quality indicators, such as PM2.5,sulfur dioxide, ozone content such as the specific data, and by using entropy value method and factor analysis method to the index data into composite index, after using the comprehensive index of the urban air quality and the urban population scale is analyzed.Firstly, the spatial autocorrelation between the comprehensive indexes of urban air quality was analyzed, and it was found that there was an obvious spatial autocorrelation between the comprehensive indexes of urban air quality. Finally came to the conclusion that the urban population size will make the city air quality is poor, but from the point of view of the whole national development,we still need to continue to push forward the urbanization process, pay attention to control the population of big cities, for some relatively small population of lower-tier cities, according to the size of the population size of hierarchical control.
