In the shipping industry,IMO and various countries around the world have been paying high attention to the environment pollution caused by burning heavy oil,and impose increasingly stringent emission limits.Using solar power as the auxiliary power for shipping not only achieves energy saving,but also achieves no pollution to environment,which is one of important ways for the green ship development.The shipping industry and shipbuilding industry have been paying great attention,and a lot of research and application has been carried out.As the one of the three-major kind of vessels for shipping,the oil tanker,especially Very Large Crude Carrier(VLCC),which has large deck space and clean environment,is the most suitable for installing solar photovoltaic system.But up to now,to the application of solar photovoltaic power generation system on VLCC is still blank.The main reason for such a phenomenon is that the problem of solar photovoltaic power generation system layout on VLCC has not been solved.Solving the problem of solar photovoltaic system layout on VLCC is core content in this thesis.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:1.Research on relative rules and regulations for layout of solar photovoltaic system on VLCC,such as IEC regulation about the hazardous area,CCS GUIDANCE NOTES for solar power on merchant vessel,etc...2.Research on the strategy of increasing the area of solar photovoltaic power generation system on VLCC,and layout problem of the solar photovoltaic power generation system on upper deck of cargo oil area would be mainly solved.3.The layout of solar photovoltaic power generation system on starn of VLCC and optimization of support structure.4.The test and effect analysis of solar photovoltaic power generation system on one actual VLCC.The research result will be verified and improved through the test on the actual VLCC,and feasibility of application of solar photovoltaic power generation system to VLCC is confirmed.
