Petroleum is an important strategic resource. The construction of oil reserve pool is in rapid development period. However, the present study for the design and construction of storage tanks foundation and infrastructure is still not perfect, there are still many problems to be solved. In this article, based on Changqing Oilfield 100000 m3 storage tank project, this article performs the situ monitoring test. By using the finite element analysis software to establish a numerical model of the relevant issues to discuss more in-depth system, this article specifically conducts the following aspects of work:(1) This article introduces the research background, and discusses the Northwest collapsible loess area of large oil tank foundation and foundation engineering problems related to the urgency and importance of research, then design the related content of test plan and monitoring based on engineering construction.(2) According to the analyzes on sedimentation tank wall and tank bottom ring deformation data, storage tanks reinforced concrete ring wall foundation and internal lime stone cushion are in coordination deformed state. Through the tank base reaction force measured to obtain the actual situation of the anti-tank force distribution base in the large circular uniformly distributed load effect. And put forward the height reaches a certain value, the liquid filling should be reduced in order to ensure the stability of tank.(3) Based on the test data, the analysis model of the 100000 m3 storage tank by using the large finite element software ANSYS expands the research of the settlement and uneven settlement problem of ring wall foundation under the water filling preloading state; force variation of base oil tank foundation research; effect of the thickness of foundation settlement are discussed. The increase in the thickness ofthe composite foundation of the oil tank tend to reduce the settlement of the foundation.(4) Through the regression analysis on the tank ring wall foundation settlement of measured data and theoretical calculations settlement data, in the preloading filling stage, the foundation settlement empirical coefficient tends to be smaller with water level decrease. Advances in design of oil tank foundation settlement in the budget should be considered the foundation stage of settlement experience coefficient change. This study is the only large-scale situ monitoring test in the northwest collapsible loess region which obtains valuable data. This article provides a useful reference to the design and construction of similar large-scale oil storage tank foundation.
