Since twenty-first Century,the product competition is becoming increasingly and fiercely in the paint industry,from consumer coating section,like Architecture Coatings,Wood Coatings to industrial utility,like General Industry Coatings,Coil Coatings,Package Coating,even to the special field of Marine Coating,Fireproof Coatings,and Aerospace Coatings.The companies are faced with various pressures in Products Development.The action by reducing product the development cycle and leveling to higher efficiency and satisfactions to the demand of customers has become a global-wide goal to the enterprise to develop and to achieve.In this paper,the research will be started from the performance improvement model of two pieces can varnish products,to the voice of the customer,quality improvement,and finally to pilot trial manufacturing process improvement and so on.These cases are discussed At the same time,the related problems are analyzed,and finally the improvement suggestions and countermeasures are put forward.On this basis,TRIZ theory is tried to combine with Lean Six Sigma tools and Project Management tools to analyze problems and solve problems.In the case of two pieces can varnish improvement,there are three aspects where the product needs to be upgraded.1.Storage stability of products.2.The product's abrasion resistance 3.Product flowing characteristics.Through the technical contradiction matrix of TRIZ theory,Substance-Field theory,division principle and other technical tools;through statistical tools such as the MSA(measurement system analysis)of six sigma,DOE(Design of Experiment);through project management tools such as fishbone diagram,Gantt chart and others,the cases study would be well done here.In the product storage stability impro vement project,via the TRIZ principle,17 contradictions can be summed up,and 11 of them can be combined with actual conditions to find the corresponding improvement methods.On the basis of summing up the causality by TRIZ theory,the key technological parameters are optimized by experiment design,and the stability performance of the product is improved.Through the experiments the conclusions can be drawn as following: By using the Minitab optimization that response optimization function device,when the pH is 8.3 and the rate of rotation is 500 rpm,can have a good improvement on the storage stability of wax slurry mixed with paint,and the feeding sequence had no effect on the product.The development of the project of improving the product's Abrasion Resistance performance begins with the analysis of the failure root cause from fishbone diagram and Pareto diagram.Conclusion could be drawn that the product failure-beverage cans abraded is caused by extreme conditions such as high temperature transpo rtation and the subsequent effects of failure(after the drink is leaked,the abrasion will be accelerated).Based on this,the TRIZ-field theory is used to analyze and to screen the project for the solutions.According to 76 standard solutions,combining with actual conditions,corresponding solution are given: No.1 By using cold chain transportation(cold garage belongs to beverage maker expenses)No.2 Between any pairs of two cans,adding soft package around each can before loading on the tracks(belongs to beverage manufacturers expense).No.3 The development of a new type of protective coating(paint manufacturer expense)No.4 Product upgrades for improving the abrasion resistance(paint manufacturers expense).At last,combining stakeholder analysis,and analysis of the risk of the product development and the evolution of new product,the best choice is No.4 Product Upgrades,improving abrasion resistance of product.The method of TRIZ's division principles is applied in product development and resource conflict.This is also the case for complaints handling business day after provide a new way of thinking,to seek more cooperation opportunities for daily business days after maintenance.In the improvement project of product leveling performance,the contradiction matrix of TRIZ theory was used in the early stage to seek for the ideas,and to choose the best from them.At the same time,based on the combination of the optimum and feature changing,the idea of mixture design is coming up.By setting the parameters according to the actual conditions,the experimental table of mixture is set up,and the leveling results after the test are recorded.The best result is that the amount of surfactant A is 0.2,the amount of surfactant C is 0.1,the lanolin B is not added.In this case the best solution of flowing performance is got via the mixture design,the case is a good study sample for the work later.
