Research On The Application Of Folk Tiger-shaped Fabric In Fashion Design

The tiger-shaped fabric in this article refers to the hand-made products that are popular in northern China,with cloth,silk,satin as the main raw materials and the tiger image as the theme.It is a folk art created by the industrious and intelligent working people in life and production.Chinese people have long worshipped the “tiger”.This kind of worship is also regarded as the belief of people in daily life.Tiger-shaped fabric is the concentrated expression of tiger culture worship in the folk.With the development of society,folk traditional handicrafts have gradually lost their original living environment,and the road of inheritance has a long way to go.The author believes that mining cultural and artistic values in folk tiger-shaped fabrics,combined with modern fashion design,can inherit folk crafts and enrich the cultural connotation of fashion design.The preface part of the first chapter introduces the research object of this paper—the folk tiger-shaped fabric,analyzes the background and current situation of the folk tiger-shaped fabric,and expounds the purpose and significance of the artistic elements of tiger-shaped fabrics used in fashion design.Exploring and analyzing the relevant content of the thesis by using literature analysis method,graphic mutual authentication method and design practice method.The second chapter,“The Cultural and Artistic Value of Tiger-shaped Cloth”,analyzes the cultural and artistic value of folk tiger-shaped fabrics.It mainly discusses its artistic characteristics and folk culture values.By collecting and integrating the literature materials,the research ideas and theoretical basis for the discussion of the next chapter are provided.The third chapter,“Recreating the Art Elements of Tiger-shaped Fabrics”,is mainly aimed at recreating the elements of three-dimensional modeling and pattern of folk tiger-shaped fabrics,creating an image that conforms to contemporary aesthetics,and then using a variety of techniques to practice.For example: filling quilting,fabric re-engineering,digital printing,embroidery,plastering,etc.,and recording the creative process.Chapter 4,“The Application of the Art Elements of Tiger-shaped Fabrics in Fashion Design”,this chapter focuses on the analysis of the three-dimensional modeling and pattern elements of tiger-shaped fabrics used in fashion design.Through the proportion,primary and secondary relationship,color matching,contrast and other means to summarize how the elements of innovation are more rationally used in fashion design.Incorporating Chinese folk tiger-shaped fabric into modern fashion design can not only meet the needs of some contemporary consumers for the cultural connotation of clothing,but also contribute to the inheritance and development of folk traditional handicrafts to a certain extent.The conclusion of chapter 5 is a summary of the research in this paper.
