At present,there are many CAD,CAE,ERP and other software for the production management of the foundry industry,but they are independent each other and are easy to be “Isolated Information Island”.It is difficult to share the information of casting process,leading to the disconnection among project management,designing and analysis,thus,it cannot meet the needs of the foundry production and management.In response to this problem,the author puts forward the research on the flexible connection method of HuaZhu CAE,CAD and ERP.Based on the platform of UG system,the author applies UG OPEN API,database and other development techniques to connect the three together,and realize the multi-functional functions including HuaZhu CAE,CAD,and ERP.The main research contents are as follow:In the aspect of integration of casting CAD/CAE,firstly,the code of HuaZhu CAE modules is reconstructed and combined with the response mechanism of MFC,realizing the functions of HuaZhu pre-processing,numerical calculation and parameter setting in UG environment.Secondly,in the process of visualization of CAE post-processing,the technology of UG secondary development is used to reconstruct the STL and SGN models in three dimensions,then,the temperature,the flow and other data are mapped to the spatial structure one by one to realize the visualization of post-processing data.Finally,the extraction algorithm of surface contour is used to improve the efficiency of displaying,and then the casting CAD process design and casting CAE numerical simulation are combined to realize the seamless connection of the designing and analysis of HuaZhu CAD/CAE.In the aspect of information sharing of casting process,the recursive algorithm is used to obtain the product structure tree and build the database hierarchy.Secondly,the ADO and OLE technologies are used to store CAD and CAE information and automatically export the casting BOM.Then,the key files of CAD/CAE can be uploaded,downloaded by applying the FTP method.Finally,through the ERP system and query interface of CAD / CAE information,we can realize the goal of dissemination of the casting material,weight,quantity,date,grid number,density,pouring temperature,*.PRT,FOO.INI and other CAD / CAE information,realizing the information coordination of enterprises.
