The oil and its derived products are mainly consist of hydrocarbons which are all poor electrical conductors.Thus,it would inevitably accumulate tens of millions of electrostatic volts in the oil during the storage and transportation.Major disasters,such as fires and explosions,can be easily caused by electrostatic sparks when combustible gases are encountered.Therefore,it is of great economic and social significance to improve the conductivity of oil products.In this work,the effects of ionic liquids(ILs)and poly(ionic liquids)(PILs)as antistatic agents on oil conductivities were mainly studied.The specific research contents are as follows:1.A series of room temperature ionic liquids were synthetized by four kinds of long-chain alkyl quaternary ammonium salt(DTAC,TTAC,HTAC and STAC)and n-butyl naphthenate sulfonic acid using ultrasound method,which were all added into the diesel as antistatic agents.The successful synthesis of ILs was confirmed by the characterization of the ILs structures and properties.The mechanisms of action were also clarified and discussed based on the reverse micelles(RM)microstructures and physicochemical properties of the synthesized ILs.After the ILs were dissolved into diesel at a certain concentration,the diesel conductivities were tested.Experimental results indicated that the addition of ILs(HTAS)with only 5 ppm can improve the diesel conductivity to a safety level(> 50 pS/m).At the same time,the influence of ILs on the diesel combustion performance was evaluated by the change of diesel interfacial tension adding ILs.2.Imidazole based poly(ionic liquids),bearing regular arrangement of polar groups,potentially suitable for novel application as gasoline antistatic was introduced in this paper.Two kinds of imidazole salt monomers were first prepared by ultrasonic assisted synthesis and then the desired PILs was obtained by copolymerizing the two monomers.The successful preparation of PILs was confirmed by the characterization of product,and the mechanism of the prepared product on isooctane antistatic was explained from the perspective of the oil electrostatic generation.Isooctane was used to represent the fresh gasoline with no additives,and the novel application performance of PILs in gasoline antistatic was evaluated by comparing the isooctane conductivity after adding different concentration of monomer and PILs respectively.The experimental results showed that the synthesized PILs had a positive effect on isooctane conductivity.
