Spray forming is a high-alloy,high-performance material preparation process based on rapid solidification technology.Real-time and accurate detection of the profile and shape characteristics of deposited ingot during spray forming is the key to control the stability of spray forming process.Based on machine vision,this paper conducts in-depth research on the on-line inspection technology of sprayformed ingot contour,which has certain theoretical significance and high application value for realizing industrial production of spray forming.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the research status and development trend of spray forming development status,morphology numerical simulation,morphology control and detection,machine vision and other related technologies,combined the existing spray forming equipment of the cooperation unit,the paper designs the overall scheme of the on-line inspection system for the profile and shape of the spray-formed deposition ingot,including the function of the contour detection system,components,working principle and inspection process,real-time analysis of the contour of the ingot and its shape and characteristic parameters during the spray forming production process,online detection and processing,completed the selection and design of major hardware systems including industrial cameras,lenses,lighting,communication networks,PLCs,encoders,etc.,and developed inspection system software applications.The paper focuses on the high-dust and other interference environments of the ingots in the spray forming production,and focuses on the image processing of the deposited ingot contours.The contour processing algorithm framework and processing flow are designed.On this basis,the image processing algorithms such as ROI image acquisition,image denoising,image enhancement,threshold segmentation and contour edge extraction are studied and applied in detail.A contour corner point extraction algorithm for detecting the diameter of the ingot and the jet height is proposed.Based on the online contour detection result,the dynamic simulation of the ingot deposition growth process is further realized.On the basis of the research on key technologies,the paper completed the development of the online inspection system for the profile of deposited and formed ingots,realizing the real-time and on-line detection and processing of the profile of the ingot and its shape and characteristic parameters during the spray forming production process.The developed system was tested on the SFZD500 spray forming line,including system function test,test accuracy test and system stability test.The test results show that the system function,detection accuracy and stability reliability meet the design requirements,which can meet the requirements of the actual spray forming production process.
