Because of its good strip shape,small tolerance zone,as well as other excellent technique and mechanical properties,cold rolling pickling strip is widely used in various fields of economy in China.In the cold rolling strip production line,strip coiling process is the last and indispensable procedure.The quality of the product is directly influenced by coiling quality and coiling quality is mainly depended on the coiler tension control accuracy.At present the majority coilers used by domestic enterprise are based on direct tension control technology.Although the direct tension control model accuracy is good,its price and maintain cost is high.The research project based on the construction project of cold rolled carbon steel pickling line of Baosteel has studied and developed a kind of indirect tension control system without tension detection instrument which is with aim to get rid of reliance from abroad in these field.The study which has developed the function expression within coiling tension and coiling motor torque,has realized coiling tension indirectly controlled throughout motor torque controling.A new method of coil diameter detection is invented to control motor torque.As coiling procedure is a object with changeful parameters,the research has improved the PI controller with self-adaption technology.In addition,a set of mature and stable coiling tension control system was designed including as well as electrical equipment building.The system design,installation and debugging have been completed.It is provedto meet the process requirement and satisfied a series of quality standards of enterprise and nation.
