Study On The Present Situation Of Dust Hazard In Wood Processing Industry Of A Town

In recent years,the number of new occupational cases in China has been increasing year by year.Among them,occupational pneumoconiosis and other respiratory diseases are the most widespread and most common occupational diseases in China at present.The development trend of occupational pneumoconiosis and other respiratory diseases is in line with the development trend of the number of new cases of occupational diseases in China every year.The work of prevention and control of occupational diseases is very precipitous.Wood processing industry occupies a large proportion in the manufacturing industry of our country,and the demand for wood products increases with the increase of population.But the wood processing enterprises in our country are mostly medium-sized,small and micro-enterprises,in which the production technology is backward,the production equipment is updated slowly,and occupational hygiene is the most common problem.The imperfection of management not only seriously affects the survival,development and economic benefit of the enterprise,but also endangers the health of the workers in the wood processing industry.Taking the harm of wood dust in wood processing industry as the research object,this paper adopts the methods of data collection,on-the-spot investigation and on-the-spot detection,etc.Investigation on occupational hygiene management and detection of wood dust concentration in workplaces were carried out in 50 wood processing enterprises in a town in the south of China.The results showed that the average value of wood dust concentration was20.98mg/m~3 in 33 furniture manufacturing enterprises and 4.14mg/m~3 in machining position.In 17 wood,bamboo,rattan,brown and grass products enterprises,the average values of grinding jobs were 14.88mg/m~3 and 3.71mg/m~3 respectively.The rate of exceeding standard of manufacturing enterprises is 54.65%,that of wood,bamboo,rattan,brown and grass products is 57.5%,that of grinding posts is 56.94%,and that of machining jobs is up to 50%respectively.The number of enterprises exceeding the standard has reached more than half,and the overall situation is serious.In addition,the survey found that the management system established in these enterprises in the field of occupational health management is imperfect or not established,the management personnel are not well-equipped or not equipped,and the occupational health monitoring files established are not perfect or have not been established,Failure to fulfill the obligation to inform the contract or inaccurate notification,failure to declare the hazards of wood dust,and failure of the main responsible person to receive occupational health training Workers do not carry out regular training,do not have special personnel in the workplace for daily monitoring of wood dust concentration,do not have engineering protection facilities or equipment not used,are not equipped with personal protective equipment or workers do not use,There are some problems such as no warning mark or warning mark at work site,no regular physical examination for exposed workers,no pre-evaluation report,and no entrustment of occupational health and technical service organization to carry out wood dust concentration detection work regularly,and so on.In view of the harm of wood dust and the present situation of occupational health management in the wood processing industry of this town,it is proposed to strengthen the construction of the government’s occupational health supervision system,strengthen the propaganda and education of occupational disease prevention and control,and add Improvement measures and suggestions on improving the position of wood dust and improving the service level of technical service organization in strong wood processing enterprises.
