Tobacco industry is one of the pillar industries of our national economy.In order to maintain the rapid development of the industry as a whole,tobacco enterprises will invest money in equipment upgrading every year.Therefore,the overall modernization level of the industry is in a leading position compared with other industries all year round.In recent years,under the background of people’s increasing health awareness,smokers have been developing towards reducing the amount of inhalation.Therefore,while the sales of traditional cigarettes are decreasing,the sales of fine cigarettes are increasing rapidly.In order to adapt to the new situation,cigarette enterprises often adopt the transformation of the original equipment to solve the rapid growth of demand for fine cigarettes.In this way,enterprises can reduce investment cost,increase output and give full play to the energy efficiency of original equipment.However,the cigarette weight control system of the equipment is mostly the same as the original system.The control system has not been customized for fine cigarettes.Therefore,the weight of fine cigarettes has always been unstable.Cigarette weight has always been one of the important factors related to cigarette quality.In addition,the tobacco industry puts forward higher requirements on the average weight and standard deviation of fine cigarettes compared with ordinary cigarettes after the cigarettes become thinner.Therefore,the research of cigarette weight control system can not only solve the urgent needs of enterprises,but also has good economic benefits.Based on the careful analysis of the actual production process of fine cigarettes,the structure of the weight control system of fine cigarettes is proposed.This paper mainly studies the fine cigarette density detection subsystem,the cigarette weight main control subsystem and the production operation evaluation and analysis subsystem.Firstly,based on microwave detection technology,the tobacco density detection system was studied.It includes the principle of microwave detection,the design of microwave detection cavity,and the research of the VCO signal excitation and detection circuit and processing software of microwave detection cavity based on FPGA and DSP.Secondly,based on Beckhoff PLC of Germany,the main control unit,input and output unit and communication module are selected.The hardware system is built.And based on the above hardware platform to carry out the fine smoke weight control software program and algorithm preparation.Then,based on WPF,research and development of production and operation evaluation and analysis software,the operation data monitoring and evaluation,parameter adjustment and optimization of fine cigarette density detection system and weight control function were carried out.Finally,the hardware and algorithm of the thin cigarette weight control system are tested and verified on the spot.The measured results are compared with the expected targets repeatedly.In addition,relevant parameters and system software algorithm are adjusted,optimized and improved.The actual application effect is close to the expected target.Finally,the actual application effect of the whole system reaches the production process standard of the enterprise and meets the actual demand of the enterprise.
