With the rapid development of modern economy,people pay more and more attention to the machining precision of various complex parts.As a kind of special machining,EDM has obvious advantages in machining complex parts with high hardness and precision.When cutting workpiece with variable thickness,it is a common phenomenon that the discharge point is not uniform due to the abrupt change of thickness.When the thickness of the workpiece has a small increase,discharge point dispersion,processing efficiency decreases,on the contrary,easy to cause wire breakage.Based on these two problems,to carry out the research of zoning of wavelet and noise identification and removal,the data is optimized,which makes the results more accurate,and the uniformity of discharge point position of processing parameters such as pulse width,peak current and pulse interval ratio in emulsion medium was analyzed by single factor experiment,to expect to get optimal machining accuracy.In this paper,we select potential difference method to test WEDM machining discharge point location,using the wavelet transform of the WEDM machining discharge point quantitative,and the optimization of evaluation module,using LABVIEW visual programming language for the whole of WEDM processing on-line measuring discharge point location to build uniformity.The feasibility of the whole detection system was tested and the design of calibration experiment was completed.The optimal calibration function was selected.The voltage at the end of discharge was selected as the effective voltage by collecting location experiment.He calibration function of discharge point position is optimized according to a large number of calibration experiments.Finally the uniformity of discharge point location is delected under the different parameters,perform the experiments in two parts,the first part in emulsion roughing variable thickness workpiece positive(the thickness of the thin thickening)cutting single factor experiment,The influences of three main machining parameters(Pulse width,peak current,pulse interval ratio)on three evaluation indexes(Surface roughness,cutting speed and uniformity distribution)of machining quality were studied;The second part carries on the step trapezoidal workpiece(The thickness varies from thick to thin)reverse cutting verification experiment,and the optimal parameters of each thickness are obtained through analysis and comparison,so as to obtain the optimal machining quality.The research of this subject is of great significance for optimizing machining parameters,improving machining efficiency and quality,and promoting the development of high-speed wire cutting technology.
