Research On The Development And Strategies Of Environmental Education In Beijing

In the process of ecological governance in Beijing,it shows a tendency of socialization,which calls for citizens to participate in environment governance.As a result,environmental education is as a vital part of influencing on people's ecological awareness and socialization ecological governance.This paper is on the basis of ecological citizen,and summarizes the development of Beijing environmental education and its process can be divided into four stages:the beginning stage(1997—2001),the rapid growth stage(2001—2008),the stable transition stage(2008—2017),and the stable improvement stage(2017—now).And this paper sets up four grade ? indexes—Voluntary,Commonweal,Green,Openness,and then sets up correlated grade ? indexes.Next,these indexes are applied in the questionnaire.Furthermore,the author has carried out field research in Beijing's districts including Changping,Daxing,Haidian,Fengtai,Chaoyang,Dongcheng and Xicheng.Then,the paper will analyze issues and referential experience at home and abroad for Beijing environmental education according to survey results.These issues are the lack of ecological sense,decentralization of environment education activities,the short of environmental ethics and ambiguous objectives,and they are short of specific stages together with preschool,basic,regular higher and vocational environment education.This paper selects America,Japan,Germany,Sweden,Hong Kong of China and Macao of China as good examples for environment education,and they respectively have the following prominent features:unity in diversity,demand orientation,value guidance,practice-cooperation,open-participation,objective orientation.In the end,the paper will propose tendency and measurements at the perspective of cultivation of ecological citizen.These measurements about Beijing environmental education mainly focus on the following aspects including systematic environmental education curriculum,combing environmental education with school performance appraisal and ecological citizen cultivation,enhancing the Green and Openness of school environmental education and the Voluntary and Commonweal of social environmental education.
