The initial commissioning of the new hydrogenation plant generally includes heating furnace oven,catalyst loading,nitrogen gas tightness,catalyst drying,hydrogen gas tightness,catalyst vulcanization,oil diversion,etc.,among which nitrogen gas tightness and hydrogen gas tightness are the key factors affecting the initial commissioning time of hydrogenation plant.To shorten the original operation time of the hydrogenation plant,the key is to shorten the time of nitrogen gas tightness and hydrogen gas tightness.Shortening the initial commissioning time is of great significance for reducing the initial commissioning cost.This paper begins with strengthening the construction management of the owner and proposes the construction technical requirements for the flange-gasket-bolt connection.And the operators prepared for the initial commissioning are used to strengthen construction management to reduce the connection defects at the source,so as to shorten the initial commissioning time.Then the flange leakage treatment method is proposed,and the bolt fastening degree,the flange parallelism and the sealing surface roughness meet the specified technical requirements by means of bolt fastening,flange parallelism adjustment,sealing surface grinding,sealing surface processing and the like,promoting air tightness to pass quickly.Finally,based on the analysis of the properties of rubber,PTFE,sealant,sealing grease and graphite materials,combined with ASME new gasket design method,the method of compounding flexible graphite to octagonal gasket sealing surface to solve the micro-leakage of sealing surface is proposed.By using the ASME new gasket design method,the design constant for the flexible graphite composite to the DN400 CL1500 RJ flange facing was calculated.According to the design constant,the flange can achieve strict “zero leakage”.In order to facilitate the application of flexible graphite composite to octagonal gasket sealing surface in engineering,the operability of graphite chemical plating,graphite coating and graphite strip bonding was analyzed.The method of attaching flexible graphite strip to sealing was selected for engineering application.Use the method described in this article to the inner Mongolia YITAI chemical limited liability company’s hydrogenating equipment in processing workshop which product 1.2 million tons/year elaborate chemicals and project chemicals.Strict examination in the phase of designing and quality controlling in the constructing phase on the basis of method in the chapter 2,normally handling to normal leak sources in airtight phase according to method described in chapter 3 and handling the serious leak sources by flexible plumbaginous composite octangonal ring described in chapter 4 for cutting down the airtight time of hydrogenating equipment.Practical operation proves that methods described in chapter 2 to chapter 4 of this article are more efficient in airtight circle,more safety and also a way to reduce operating cost in the same time,those method can be as a sample to other equipment in similar function.
