The Enlightenment Of Tang Dynasty's Ritual Jewelry To The Modern Jewelry Development

From 618 to 907 AD,the Tang Dynasty has been 289 years old and has a history more than1,400 years.It is recognized as one of the most powerful eras in the history of China's 5,000 years.Its politics,economy,culture,science and technology,education,religion and art has reached an unprecedented peak.During the Tang Dynasty,the people's pursuit of beauty entered a new era.They not only began to pay attention to various decorations,but also paid more attention to their own decoration.In addition,because the rulers of the Tang Dynasty attached great importance to the role of ritual system and used the ritual system to consolidate their political power.So,the Tang Dynasty jewels was also closely related to the ritual system.The Tang Dynasty jewels not only showed the superb artistic standards of the Tang Dynasty,but also is a symbol of the wearer's wealth,status,and rights.In the Tang Dynasty,there were extremely detailed regulations on the wearing of ornaments.Under such background,the Tang Dynasty's ritual jewels with profound cultural connotations and distinctive features appeared in the Tang Dynasty.With the high development of society,economy,science and technology and art,modern jewels presents a colorful prosperity scene.The material selection,process technology,design concept,audience,value,price and identity matching have taken earth-shaking changes,which shows the characteristics of diversity,colorfulness and variation nowadays.At the same time,due to the inheritance of history and the penetration of culture,modern jewelry design has a high frequency application to Chinese traditional culture and traditional art.Especially the Tang Dynasty's jewels accomplished a kind of combination with the concept of modern design.Therefore,the Tang Dynasty's jewelry made a profound impact on modern jewels and long-term practical significance,which is also the research of this article.This paper mainly uses literature research method,comparative analysis method and questionnaire survey,data statistics,market research and other methods to find out the enlightenment of Tang Dynasty ceremonial jewelry on the development of modern jewelry.And I will prove the influence and inspiration that the Tang Dynasty's jewels give to the modern jewels by my own design.The systematic study,understanding,absorption,and research of the historical background,performance characteristics,cultural connotation and design concept ofthe Tang dynasty's jewelry are not only the demand of historical development and cultural inheritance,but also have great practical guiding significance and long-term profound influences to the enrichment and development of Chinese traditional culture,the jewel culture,the jewel connotation and the concept of design.
