Known as "industrial teeth",cemented carbide is famous to its high hardness and wear resistance.It is widely used in various fields of national economy such as construction machinery,automobile manufacturing,and electronic products.China is the world's largest producer of cemented carbide.In consumer countries,the use of carbide products is the most extensive.In recent years,China's cemented carbide industry has shown large but not strong characteristics.China's cemented carbide enterprises produce a large number of medium and low-grade cemented carbide products.With its strong cost performance,it has already occupied most of the world's middle and low-end rigid products.The market share of the alloy,but the blind development and the lack of high-performance cemented carbide products,lead to low efficiency in the entire Chinese cemented carbide industry,product quality and product profitability need to be improved.JW Cemented Carbide Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as: JW Co.)is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi JW Tungsten Group Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as: JW Group).JW Co.is a key enterprise in the strategic development “from tungsten resource to deep processing of tungsten products” of JW Group.In 2012,JW Group has successfully entered the ranks of national high-tech enterprises,and has a pivotal position in the field of China's cemented carbide manufacturing.However,in recent years,with many reasons,the company performance is still poor even the company has been constantly improving.Due to the ever-changing economic environment,formulating scientific and reasonable development strategy are necessary for JW Co.Only under the guidance of the correct development strategy,JW Co.can overcome the difficulties and can achieve leap-forward development and contribute to the realization of strong Chinese manufacturing.Firstly,the paper analyzes the macro environment and competitive environment of cemented carbide enterprises by using PEST and five-force model,and then analyzes and summarizes the production capacity,research and development capabilities,marketing capabilities and brand establishment of enterprises.Then,through SWOT analysis,it points out the opportunities and threats faced by enterprises,determines the advantages and disadvantages within the enterprise,selects the company-level strategy,competition strategy,and proposes the implementation measures of development strategy and further provide propose specific measures to ensure the implementation of the strategy.This paper can be refer by other hard alloy enterprises in a certain degree and help to draft a right development strategy in terms of their own conditions,and lay a solid foundation for the Chinese cemented carbide industry to enter the world stage.
