The issue of population aging has become a hot topic in society.General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in the 32 nd collective study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee that efforts should be made to meet the growing material and cultural needs of the elderly, promote the comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of the cause of ageing, and strengthen the ageing.Scientific research meets the needs of a large number of elderly people and properly solves the social problems brought about by the aging of the population. The traffic safety issue is one of the most urgent and urgent problems to be solved. With the advent of an aging society, the traffic participation of the elderly has been further enhanced, and the safety of crossing the street has become increasingly serious. In view of this, this paper takes the elderly aged 60 and above as the research object, and takes the elderly people’s crossing speed and irregular street crossing behavior in the signal control section as the research focus, analyzes the influence of different types of crosswalks on the speed of the elderly crossing the street, and makes reasonable suggestions for the elderly. The speed of the street design. At the same time,it explores the formation mechanism of the elderly’s non-standard crossing behavior, quantitatively describes the effect of potential variables such as attitude, subjective norm, perceptual behavior control and intention on non-standard crossing behavior, and proposes corresponding countermeasures to reduce the occurrence of irregular street crossing behavior and improve the safety of the elderly crossing the street. The so-called nonstandard street crossing behavior refers to a series of behaviors that may lead to traffic accidents including traffic violations during the crossing. The pedestrian crossing speed data and real behavior characteristic data of three types of crosswalks were obtained through manual investigation. The average street crossing speed of the elderly was 1.08m/s and the 15% speed was 0.97m/s.Among them, the elderly have the fastest crossing speed(1.11m/s)at the safety island crosswalk without a countdown, the second fastest speed at the safe island with a countdown(1.08m/s),and the slowest at the countdown without a safe island.(1.05 m/s),the results were statistically significant.Judging the safety of the elderly crossing the street with the position of the elderly in the crosswalk and the traffic lights. On the premise of counting down, the crosswalk at the safe island is safer. On the premise of having a safe island, there is a countdown crosswalk safety.More sexual.Using Vissim simulation software to establish a pedestrian crossing simulation model, set the simulation basic parameters according to the measured data and related research, and mix different proportions of the elderly in the pedestrian to simulate.Based on the experimental data, the functional relationship between the proportion of the elderly and the pedestrian crossing speed of 15% is established.Under the premise of ensuring that 85% of pedestrians can successfully cross the street, the design speed of the common signal control crosswalk is 0.99m/s.In the case of the characteristics of the elderly crossing the street, the design speed of the crossings corresponding to the proportion of different elderly people is given.Based on the theory of planned behavior, this paper explores the causes of the irregular street crossing behavior of the elderly. The questionnaire is designed to measure the five factors of the planned behavior theory. The questionnaire is adjusted according to the pre-investigation feedback information to overcome the difficulty of conducting questionnaire survey for the elderly.Based on the questionnaire data.Construct a structural equation model that affects the factors that influence street crossing behavior. The results show that attitude(path coefficient 0.30)and perceptual behavior control(path coefficient 0.31)have a significant positive impact on irregular street crossing intention;perceptual behavior control(path coefficient 0.52)and intention(path coefficient 0.28)have irregular street crossing behavior.Significant positive impact, while subjective norms(path coefficient-0.26)have a significant negative impact on intention. The results of the study have certain reference significance for the aging community planning, the development of the elderly pedestrian crossing system, the pedestrian signal phase setting, and the early intervention of the elderly irregular street crossing behavior.
