The polymer of fluorinated acrylate both have excellent film forming property of acrylate and excellent oil and water repellency of fluorinated monomer,thus they are widely used in many fields,such as water and oil repellency for textile,water-based coating,paper and leather.Chinese have been studying fluorinated acrylate for textile finishing agents for decades,but the main products in the domestic market are still imported products.Exploring the polymer with small amount of fluoromonomer and good performance is the focus of research.In our work,the fluorinated polyacrylate emulsion with core-shell structure was prepared by core-shell emulsion polymerization.Specific studies include:Acrylate monomer,functional monomer,fluorine-containing acrylate monomer were used as the main monomers,cation surfactant and nonionic surfactant were used as emulsifying agents,2,2’-azobis[2.methylpropionamidine]dihydrochloride was used as initiator in this study.The perfluoro octyl ethyl acrylate polymer emulsion(hereinafter referred to Cs fluorinated emulsion)and the fluorinated hexylethyl(meth)acrylate emulsion(hereinafter referred to C6 fluorinated emulsion)were prepared.In the first step of the experiment,the seed emulsion was synthesized,and the effects of the solvent,water amount,emulsifier dosage and initiator dosage on the particle size of the seed emulsion were studied.Then,a series of polymer emulsions were prepared though changing the amount of emulsifier,initiator,fluorine monomer,temperature,reaction time and the like.The effects of various factors on the properties of emulsion were studied experimentally and the optimum process parameters were determined.The polymer was characterized by FT-IR,EDS,GPC,elemental analysis and fluorine content test.Particle size test,and the polymer particle size and surface morphology was explored by particle size test,TEM and SEM test.TGA,DSC and other test methods were used to characterize the thermal properties of the polymer.The two fluorinated polymers both have good heat resistance and expected core-shell structureThe finishing process of the fabric was discussed,and the effects of baking temperature,baking time,soaking time and emulsion concentration on the finishing effect were studied to determine the optimal finishing conditions.Dilute the emulsion at 10 g/L,Soak the cloth for 1 second,bake 3 minute(the best finishing temperture of the Cs fluorinated emulsion is 170℃,the C6 emulsion is 150°C),the performance of Cs fluorinated emulsion and C6 fluorinated emulsionuse were evaluated by AATCC-22 water-repellent performance test,3M-Ⅱ-1988 water-repellent performance test and AATCC-118 oil-repellent performance test.The result of textile finishing test is:Cs fluorinated emulsion for 100 points,12 grades,8 grades;the C6 fluorinated ermulsion for 95 points,11 grades and 7 grades.Under the same conditions,our emulsion reached the level of Japanese Daikin TG-581 and TG-5671 respectively.It showed that our samples have good oil and water repellency.(4)The finished fabric was immersed in 3 g/L soap water,and washed and dried for washing resistance test.After washing for 50 times,the contact angle test results of Cs fluorinated emulsion were still above 130°,the results of C6 emulsion were still above 120°.The washability of both emulsions is not inferior to the corresponding commercial products.
