The Transformation Of The Three-axis To Four-axis Of The XK714B CNC Milling Machine

At present,the multi-axis linkage machining is the main trend in the development of CNC machine tools.With fast growth of CNC technology and equipment,market requirement for product shape and quality is stricter,and old CNC milling machines cannot reach the product precision requirement.It needs to renovate the old CNC milling machines so as to realize multi-axis combined machining.In this way,the cost of purchasing multi-axis linked combined machining tools is saved and repeated clamping of workpieces was avoided.Moreover,the machining ability of tool and machining precision of product were improved.Based on the above backgrounds,in this paper,the XK714 B CNC milling machine produced by Wuxi Outai CNC Machine Co.,Ltd.will be used as a prototype to transform the XK714 B CNC milling machine from three-axis to four-axis.First of all,it was determined that the fourth axis was fixed to Y axis of original tool,and four-axis platform was renovated to(X,Y,Z,A)motion configuration;then,reasonable research was made on the previous hardware circuit of three-axis numerically-controlled machine tool,electrical system modification strategy of rotation axis of four-axis CNC milling machine was designed,the model selection and design were made for CNC device and servo system,and PMC design of four-axis numerically-controlled system was completed.Finally,based on the mechanical structure characteristics of the modified four-axis CNC milling machine and the existing functions of the four-axis CNC system,the trial cutting machining of the four-axis CNC milling machine,the testing of the parts,and the precision compensation and debugging of the fourth axis were analyzed.Research indicates that the modification scheme from three-axis to four-axis of XK714 B CNC milling machine realized four-axis linkage machining ability of four-axis CNC milling machine,so it has a certain feasibility and stability.
