With the development of manufacturing,there are coming forth many new manufacture technology,virtual manufacturing is the impo rtant one among those.It prensents the manufacturing's devleoping tr end of information,automation and intelligentize.NC Simulation is th e key technology of itThis research is to build up a simulating system of 3-axis mill ing machine.According to the NC code,the system should simulate t he machining process in the way of 3D graphic.We choose the vc++ platform and OpenGL to achieve our syst em.OpenGL is a graphic interface that can smoothly work in spite of the difference between software or hardware,and it also provides many instructions to render the screen.So OpenGL is a good chois e for graphic system developers.Guided by modular and object-oriented thinking,the entire syste m would be divided into NC code translation,cutter management,bla nk management,dynamics simulation and human-computer interface modules.Packing these modules in different classes will improve the portability and follow-up development simplicity.After researching a lot of information on NC simulatio-n,this p aper puts out a new entity modelling method called triangular grid, and establishs a data struct to describing the blank which greatly fa cilitates the simulation.The system can distingusih and translate the common NC codes used by milling machine,it finally translates thes e NC command into effective information to drive system simulatio...
