Ball-end milling cutter is widely used in aerospace,automobile,shipbuilding,arts and crafts sculpture and other fields because of its high cutting stability,machining accuracy,better processing quality and processing efficiency in the fine processing of complex three-dimensional curved surface.The application becomes more and more widely.However,the complex structure of the ball end mill,grinding grinding difficult to become a constraint on the production efficiency of a difficult.Based on the research of ball milling cutter design,modeling and sharpening at home and abroad,based on the existing three-parallel universal joint CNC grinding machine,the numerical control grinding of the first flank of ball end mill is studied.The research results of this paper can provide reference for complex tool design and sharpening of similar parallel machine tools,and have practical value.First of all,the structure,motion and function of the three-parallel universal joint CNC grinding machine are introduced and analyzed.Then,based on the characteristics of the machine tool,the mathematical model of the orthogonal spiral cutting edge of ball end mill and the first flank Mathematical model,and the use of MATLAB simulation analysis.Secondly,according to the three parallel machine tool CNC system,the control interface based on the existing VB using the control interface for the second design.The grinding process of ball end mill is analyzed,and the grinding program is programmed with VB.The interpolation process is simulated with MATLAB.Finally,the program is transferred to the machine's computer debugging,grinding experiments by grinding the first ball end mill cutter flank grinding,and obtain better results.It is proved that the three-parallel NC machine tool can realize the sharpening of the flank of the ball end mill,and also prove that the mathematical model is correct.
