With the development of the mechanical manufacturing industry,The parallel machine tool began to appear more widely in the production and processing all kinds of occasions.In the early 1990s,As a new type of manufacturing equipment,The parallel machine tool began to appear in the people’s field of vision.It was seen as machine mechanisms and the combination of the numerical control technology of the robot.Different from traditional tandem type machine tools,parallel machine tool of high precision, simple structure, low manufacturing cost advantages make it more and more important on the development direction of machine tool structure.Already can see it in many areas and become a new research hot point.The chisel edge of complex helicoid micro-drill is "S" type,which is made up of two knife surface after the envelope.Compared with other type drill it is preponderant because of drilling its centering performance is good and its performance is stable which to a great extent improve the quality of the drilling difficult-to-machine materials.This topic is combined with the three parallel CNC grinding machine that has developed by northeastern university institute of advanced manufacturing and automation,to research and optimize of the grinding technology about complex helical drill point. The main contents are as follows:This paper introduces the different grinding principle of grinding method,the advantage of parallel machine tool compared with the traditional serial machine tool and identified based on a parallel machine tool is a complex helical drill point grinding can improve the quality of grinding and grinding efficiency;Introduce the grinding principle of the complex helicoid drill point,established the complicatedmathematical model of the spiral surface drill point and combined with MATLAB software presents a complex helicoid drill point on the surface of the knife after the simulation;By the kinematic analysis of parallel machine tool proving that the feasibility of grinding its surface through the complex helical drill point.Using Visual Basic6.0 control system design for machine tools.Mainly is the preparation of the grinding process improvement to make it complete coherent secondary grinding process and improve the efficiency of grinding;The simulation out to sharpening the knife of the graphics after by changing the different grinding parameters before the actual grinding which is to facilitate more convenient for theory research.To some extent, improve the grinding efficiency and grinding quality;By changing the parameters of a series of different grinding for multiple sets of grinding experiments to prove that the feasibility of three parallel machine tool in complex helicoid grinding,the correctness of the micro-drill mathematical model and the accuracy of the secondary grinding procedure compilation; Analysis the effect of different grinding parameters on grinding results through multiple sets of grinding experiments.So we can grind out the ideal type of the complex spiral surface drill point.And lay the foundation for further research.
