Virtual reality is one of the greatest technologies in the 20th century.It has been applied to the field of video,game,military,education,etc.,and still has great potential for development.As a practical application of the technology,this thesis designs a roller coaster system using the intelligent mobile phone,VR glasses box,dynamic seat platform and computer equipment to support visual simulation,auditory simulation,and motion simulation.Firstly,according to the actual requirements,this thesis designs a reasonable and novel roller coaster system implementation plan,which detailedly discusses the implementation process of the project from the overall design ideas,to the software and hardware module design ideas.Secondly,this thesis discusses how to make models and implement collision detection for roller coaster system during the virtual roller coaster system implementation process.In order to solve this problem,this thesis studies the commonly used modeling techniques,designs a modeling strategy of virtual orbit and an optimization scheme of virtual scene,and designs a new method to simulate the running of the roller coaster based on the dynamic analysis of the track model.Based on the study of common collision detection algorithm,this thesis adopts a collision detection algorithm based on OBB and bounding sphere bounding box for the collision detection of objects in virtual scene,and combined with the track feature simplifies the construction process of the bounding sphere in the algorithm.Finally,with the help of Unity3D engine and 3Ds Max modeling software and adopting the modular design idea of the system development process,this thesis constructs the basic track segment models and discusses the realization process of each function module including a virtual scene construction,data transmission,and the track editor.Finally,through the experimental test,the system can basically meet the original design requirements.
