The liquid ammonia stored in the tank farm is flammable and explosive toxic substances.Due to unsafe conditions or unsafe human behavior,once there is a spillage of the liquid ammonia,it could easily lead to fire disaster,explosion and intoxication accident,which would result in property damage and casualties.Therefore,the safety status of the liquid ammonia tank farm has a direct impact on the production and operation activities of enterprises and on the safety and stability of society.In this paper,based on the field researches on the safety status of liquid ammonia storage tanks in a Shaanxi enterprise and the investigation of the current enterprise liquid ammonia storage tank problems and weaknesses,we evaluated the effect of the rectifications.A theoretical analysis of the diffusion mechanism of liquid ammonia leaks,a study of the mechanism and development process of liquid ammonia tanks leakage and a simulation of process of liquid ammonia leakage diffusion;selecting protective layer theory to quantitatively analyze the possibility of leakage accident of liquid ammonia storage tank before and after rectification;analyzing and calculating the personal risk and social risk of the liquid ammonia storage tanks before and after the rectification to the surrounding densely populated places,and comparing and evaluating the current rectification effect of the liquid ammonia storage tanks.The paper compared and analyzed the personal risks and social risks to the peripheral sensitive targets,such as night security,storage tank leakage in six types,such as temperature stability and wind speed.In this paper,the following conclusions are drawn.(1)Common safety troubles were identified in most of the chemical companies that were established earlier using the safety checklist method.For example,the perimeter protection distance,the fireproof spacing of major equipment and facilities inside the factory,the detection and inspection of major equipment and facilities,etc.(2)The rectification measures based on the on-site investigations of the safety hidden troubles were put forward,including the rectification of the inter alia,liquid level,temperature,pressure and other data collection,and remote transmission,emergency switching system,leakage alarm and emergency spray system.It has reference significance and guiding significance.(3)Analyze the mechanism of leakage diffusion,compare various leakage diffusion models,analyze and explore a reasonable leakage diffusion model-Gaussian plume model suitable for neutral gas cloud,and adopt this model to liquid ammonia accidents.Quantitative evaluation of actual enterprise safety rectification using safety quantitative analysis method,and found that after rectification of the liquid ammonia storage tank of the company,the effectiveness of this rectification was evaluated,and the company's rectification and improvement achieved a higher level of safety,achieving the goal of achieving the lowest accident rate,least loss,and optimal safety investment efficiency,and making up for safety.Evaluate the gaps in the qualitative evaluation of the industry's potential corrections.
