Nowadays,with the rapid and diversified development of petrochemical industry,the use of liquid ammonia is becoming more and more diversified.However,with the increase of liquid ammonia usage,the danger brought about by liquid ammonia had not been paid enough attention.As a result,accidents such as fire,explosion,poisoning or burning occur frequently,which endanger people’s lives and property safety.Taking the liquid ammonia tank area of Ningxia petrochemical fertilizer plant as the research object,through data consulting and field investigation,this paper found out the site safety facilities and the surrounding sensitive area of the liquid ammonia tank area.Starting with the harm of ammonia,it divided the potential toxic hazard area caused by the leakage of liquid ammonia,and understood the leakage source model and the leakage diffusion model of the liquid ammonia leakage.The FMEA method were used to analyze the liquid ammonia storage tank.11 failure caused which may cause unexpected events are analyzed and compared.LEAK software were used to predict the leakage risk of the liquid ammonia storage system,and the leakage probability of each subsystem of the liquid ammonia storage system under various apertures were calculated.FLUENT software were used to simulate the leakage and diffusion of liquid ammonia storage tank.Eight different working conditions were set up.Through the analysis and comparison of the simulation results,the leakage characteristics under the condition of no wind and northwest wind,and the influence of pressure and leakage aperture on the leakage and diffusion are obtained.Based on the results of simulation analysis of liquid ammonia leakage and diffusion,the escape routed of workers in packaging section were worked out,and the optimization scheme of emergency drilling was put forward.
